2024 Members Camping Ceremonies

Our ceremonies are only open to Psanctuary members who have gone through our membership process and are active: this means you have attended a minimum of 4 in person or virtual circles or sunday services. 

This requirement considers the safety and sincerity of our community while creating an opportunity to get to know the community with whom you will be sharing this sacred space.

Yes. Psanctuary does not provide tents or gear for anyone - you must bring your tent, camping gear, food, snacks, a reusable water bottle and water (if you don't want to drink from the tap) and anything else you would normally pack for a camping trip.

Tent Camping: You will need to bring your own tent and camping supplies. You will need to reserve your camping space separately directly from the site owner (we will provide a link following registration). Each site can accommodate two people in a shared tent. Up to two members that are tent camping together will only need to purchase one camp site.

You will only need to purchase camping for one night, unless you'd like to extend your stay by arriving earlier and/or staying later. 

You may reserve an RV site or Glampsite instead of a primitive camping site (link will be provided following registration).

This is a ZERO WASTE campsite (what you pack in, you must pack out).

• A bath and wash house with shower, toilet, sink access + porta-johns.

These amenities are basic but functional. 

Yes!

Included in the ceremony are 2 group calls with the community minister leading the ceremony. We highly encourage all attendees to be at these calls and only miss due to an emergency.

• 1 preparatory, online group call via zoom in the week prior to the ceremony*
• 1 integration, online group call via zoom in the week following the ceremony*

  There will also be onsite group preparation and integration before and after communion.

No, this is a sacred container for Psanctuary members who are registered for the ceremony.

It is a priority for us to maintain accessibility for these ceremonies, and we are grateful to offer these ceremonies on an open heart, sliding scale donation basis.

We've provided a scale for reference below to help you choose your contribution to support our community in a way that's meaningful to you.

Community Supported: Apply for your ceremony space to be paid for through our Scholarship Fund (selected via random lottery):

Sustaining: Cover the basic costs of your participation: $300

Supporting: Help cover Psanctuary's operational needs: $375 

Paying It Forward: Contribute extra to enhance the Scholarship Fund and support others: $600

We do encourage folks to consider the amount of time and administrative energy that goes towards preparing for and recovering from these ceremonies. This is incredibly valuable work that we love, and we want to be able to continue providing these services for our members! Any donations will go towards continuing to expand our accessibility and offerings for our members and community.

The sacrament is given by the church to members for communion at this service (and for communion at this service only) for no charge.

Arrival & Communion day: arrive as early as 10 am and have your tent setup no later than 12 pm ET - we will begin discussion by 1 pm and communion following. We will end the evening with a potluck and a bonfire. **Anyone arriving later than 1 pm will not be permitted to participate in the sacrament ceremony.

Departure day: our group will pack up by 1 pm ET but if you have reserved another night at the site than you are of course welcome to stay later!

*For safety reasons, we will not permit anyone to leave the ceremony property until the morning following. In addition, we ask that all participants registering for this ceremony stay until the integration session is over the day following the ceremony. If you know you won't be able to stay for onsite integration, please do not register.

After you register you will receive an email with a link to the Hipcamp site where you can go to pay for your campsite. 

There will be no meals provided. Everyone is asked to bring their own food (a potluck for post communion and breakfast & lunch for the following day. 

Registration will close when we have 16 members registered OR 4 days prior to the ceremony arrival day; whichever happens first.
