Sacred Spring Awakening: An Equinox Gathering of Ministers

This ceremony is for ordained MySelf and Friends and Family ministers who are current members of Psanctuary. This will also be an opportunity for a select number of designated Friends and Family ministers to practice holding space for other ministers.

What is the Viking Longhall?
The Viking Longhall is a communal Norse-style lodge surrounded by nature. It includes:

• A mix of sleeping berths (9 twin, 9 full)
• Large communal fire pit with ample seating
• Shower house with hot water
• Pit toilet (self-contained outhouse building)
• Kitchen area with cooking equipment

• Bedding & towels (not provided by The Longhall)
• Meals and snacks for yourself and a potluck item to share
• Clothing for variable weather
• Reusable water bottle
• Alter offerings for the ceremony (if desired)

📞 Wednesday, March 12 (Pre-Ceremony Call)

• 5:00 - 6:30 PM: Pre-Ceremony Virtual Gathering (Prepare spiritually, set intentions, and align as a ministerial community before the retreat begins.)

Thursday, March 20

• 4:00 PM: Arrival & Check-In (Designated F&F Ministers holding space may arrive as early as 2 PM)

• Informal gathering, settling in

• 6:00 PM:  Minister potluck ((Bring a dish to share)

Friday, March 21

• 9:00 AM: Pre-Ceremony Circle (Guided meditation & intention-setting)

• 10:30 AM: Sacrament Ceremony (Up to 12 Ministers, with 6 Friends & Family Ministers holding space)

• 5:00 PM: Soup and Bread Dinner & Bonfire (Bring a dish to share if you'd like!)

Saturday, March 22

• 9:00 AM-Noon: Integration Circle (Reflect, share insights, and ground intentions)

• Following Integration – Evening: Attend the Serpent Mound Star Knowledge Spring Equinox Peace Summit, explore the land, or rest in the tranquil space

Sunday, March 23

• 10:00 AM: Pack up & departure from the Longhall (Must vacate by noon)

• 11:00 AM: Meet up with Psanctuary Family at Serpent Mound

📞 Wednesday, April 2 (Post-Ceremony Call)

• 5:00 - 6:30 PM: Post-Ceremony Virtual Integration Circle (Reflect on experiences, share insights, and continue integrating the ceremony into daily life.)
  
  *For safety reasons, we will not permit anyone to leave the ceremony property until the morning following. In addition, we ask that all participants registering for this ceremony stay until the integration session is over the day following the ceremony. If you know you won't be able to stay for onsite integration, please do not register.

No - there is no RV reservation option on this property.

We will add attendees to a private Discord chat for updates and coordination in the week prior to the ceremony. 

We will have two virtual calls:

• Pre-Ceremony Call – Wednesday, March 12, 5:00-6:30 PM
• Post-Ceremony Integration Call – Wednesday, April 2, 5:00-6:30 PM

The ceremony is for MySelf and Friends and Family Ministers only. You may bring a loved one who may share a bed with you, however, they will not be invited to be on the property during the ceremony itself, or participate in the preparation or integration discussions. 

Ceremony accessibility is a priority.  We are grateful to offer these ceremonies on an open heart, donation basis. 

Recommended contributions:

• $250 per minister communing will cover Psanctuary's base costs
• $500 per minister will allow Psanctuary to contribute some donations towards other operational expenses

Do spaceholders have to contribute?
No—spaceholders' presence is essential for this ceremony.

Please know that any donations beyond those covering costs of property rental, food and supplies, will go towards the implementation of Psanctuary programming and services in alignment with our vision and mission.

The sacrament is given to ministers for communion at this service (and for communion at this service only) for no charge.

🍽️ Will food be provided?

•  Please bring a potluck item to share Thursday
• Friday Evening (Post-Communion Meal): A simple meal of vegan, gluten-free soup and bread will be provided for all participants.
• For all other meals and dining needs, attendees must bring their own food and snacks.

🔥 What cooking facilities are available?

• Grill over the firepit & BBQ
• Stovetop/hot plate for cooking
• Cookware, cooking utensils, basic seasoning & oils
• Sink/dishwashing station

Please note: Eric & Courtney’s 4- and 7-year-old children will be on-site after the ceremony (March 22-23), staying in a cabin and participating in Serpent Mound field trips.

Are campfires allowed?
Yes! The Longhall has a large communal fire pit with ample seating, and firewood is provided (though bringing extra may be helpful).

Are showers available?
Yes! There is an on-demand hot water shower in a well-appointed shower house.

 What type of toilets are available?
A self-contained outhouse (pit toilet) is available on-site.

Is drinking water provided?
Yes! Potable water is available in bottled form for personal use and in 2-gallon jugs for cooking.

Can I bring my pet?
No, pets are not an option during this ceremony event at this particular property.

Are there trash & recycling bins?
Yes, both trash and recycling bins are available.
