Do I need to have a death doula certification to become a minister?
No, obtaining a death doula certification is not a prerequisite for becoming a minister in Psacred Passage Sacrament Ceremonies. While the roles of death doulas and ministers overlap in their compassionate support for individuals, death doulas offer a broad spectrum of non-medical services tailored to the dying person's and their family's needs. In contrast, the role of a Psacred Passage minister is more focused on facilitating the sacrament ceremonies and the spiritual aspects associated with them. While the skills and empathy developed as a death doula can enrich the minister's role, our training programs are designed to equip you with the specific competencies needed to serve as a minister within our community.
