Each quarter there will be an opportunity to enroll and begin the 10-month program. See below for the enrollment periods:

-December 1st-January 18th (December 14th: Early bird enrollment ends). To begin the program on January 25th.

-February 1st-March 22nd (February 15th: Early bird enrollment ends). To begin the program on March 29th.

-June 1st-July 19th (June 14th: Early bird enrollment ends). To begin the program on July 26th.

-August 1st-September 20th (August 16th: Early bird enrollment ends). To begin the program on September 27th.

-November 1st-December 6th (November 15th: Early bird enrollment ends). To begin the program on December 13th.

The 10 Month Program  covers the following topics:

6. Other tools: Breathwork, Yoga, Qi Gong, Art, Mindfulness, the list goes on.

10. Supporting Yourself

Becoming an ordained Psanctuary minister will give you entry into holding space for sacred mushroom ceremonies under the protection of religious freedom.

For your paced growth and safety of our members, newly ordained ministers will not immediately be certified to open their own church. There will also be safety standards, for sacramental administration (such as sizes of group ceremonies and doses administered) based on experience, this initial certification will serve as platform for you to gain first hand experience which can in time permit you to open your own Psanctuary. 

You will be an integral part of a community of spiritually focused practitioners who have decades of experience. This will provide newly ordained ministers with a network of colleagues to help you grow and support you as a minister. As building supportive community is our number one priority as an organization, this will be particularly exemplified by our community of ministers.

Throughout the program you will gain education and experience with and around our sacrament so that you can be knowledgeable and skillful as you step into your own sacred mushroom ministry.

Through the development of your ministry portfolio you will build a catalogue of published content that will help to establish your reputation as a minister and leader in the rapidly expanding world of sacred mushroom ministry. This portfolio can be kept private and visible to Psanctuary members only or public on our website. This work will exemplify your unique personality as a minister of our community and will include monthly essays and presentations submitted via a variety of mediums including but not limited to:

• Expository essays
• Vlog and/or Blog posts
• Interviews with psychedelic leaders within and outside of Psanctuary.
• Community engagement or outreach project

• After three months of good standing, (maintaining attendance policy, timely submission of all assessments up until that point, completion of cleric sacrament service practicum, and adherence to our code of conduct) ministers in training will be eligible for extraordinary minister status, permitting you to self administer sacrament for your personal practice and administer sacrament to members (within guidelines) with the support of a Psanctuary cleric. 
• As an extraordinary minister you will also have the opportunity to earn income holding space while you are being certified. 

The certification program is 10 months long, the first cohort beginning January 25th, 2023.

The learning requirements are as follows:

• 5-6 Hours (1.5 hours/week) per month of online video modules and workbook learning via an online student portal.
• 2, 90 minute monthly group instruction and integration calls, on 2nd Monday at 5-6:30 pm and 4th Saturday, 11 am-12:30 pm Eastern. *attendance policy applies.
• Monthly private calls are scheduled per availability and begin during the extraordinary ministership period.

 Assessments:

• Due 2 weeks following the end of each month.

  In the form of:

• Publishable expository essays *guidelines provided 

• Video or blog post (posted to Psanctuary community).

• Short Answer Chapter Assessment (every unit) 

  Final Project:
• Interview an Industry Leader
• Creative community engagement 
• Outreach project

Yes, as stated previously through our extraordinary minister certification that occurs at month three of your ordination training, you will be permitted to self administer sacrament without clerical support. 

You will be certified to administer sacrament with religious protection to Psanctuary members with the assistance of a Psanctuary certified cleric. 

There will be guidelines and restrictions for dosing in order to maintain safety of members and paced growth for ministers.

After your completed certification, as a fully ordained minister you will be permitted under religious protection to administer sacrament to small groups with an appropriate amount of clerical support. (3 members to one cleric with minister support)

As safety is a priority and nothing is without risk, newly ordained ministers will be given limitations on dosage levels in which they can administer. This is not done to limit you but to support you. A three gram sacrament experience is very different than a fifteen gram experience. We want to help you achieve the highest level of skill but this must be achieved over time.

In traditional cultures shaman were required to apprentice for up to ten years before being adopted into a lineage. We are not a shamanic organization but we do understand from decades of experience that this work requires patience and that there are levels of skill that are only developed over time, gradually. 

As long as you follow and maintain all protocol for storing sacrament, distributing and documenting sacrament (Diversion Protection) you will be permitted to store sacrament onsite for personal use and for administration to Psanctuary members whom you are of service to.

Yes. There is foundational knowledge and practicum required to participate in the minister ordination program. To learn more about the cleric certification program click here.

The cost for the first cohorts is priced at a reduced rate as we learn and continue to develop the program. After the initial cohorts, the cost of the ordination program will go up.

1. $7500 if paid in full.
2. 10 installments of $800 (over the course of 10 months).

To register for the program, please schedule an interview following cleric certification, through your cleric program portal. You will be contacted following the interview regarding eligibility for the ordination program.

Sacrament will be gifted to you by the mother church and is to be gifted to members whom you serve within a scheduled sacrament service only (members are not to take sacrament home outside of the sacrament service). Psanctuary does not ever place a monetary value on sacred mushrooms. Any fees collected are for harm reduction and space holding services only.

Sacrament will be shipped to you discretely in measured quantities to be immediately logged and secured accordingly to our diversion protocols. The quantity of sacrament will vary depending on your community's needs 

This will assist in ensuring diversion protocols, quality of sacrament and protection under RFRA guidelines. 

Your ordination certificate will remain valid as long as you are in good standing with the church.

This means adherence to our code of ethics, diversion protocol, and staying current with continuing education.

Required work with Sacrament will include:

• Documenting ongoing deep dive personal work with the sacrament at least twice per year.
• Documenting deep dive sacrament services held with members at least twice per year.

• Attendance Policy:

  All calls will be recorded and saved on your student portal. 
  

  1. It is permissible to miss up to 2 calls quarterly within the program without further action (in accordance with the following requirements outlined in 1 and 2 below):
  1. If a call is missed, students will be required to submit a written email with an explanation of the reason for missing the call.
  2. If a call is missed, students are required to watch the recorded call and submit in writing a summary of what was discussed on the live call.
  3. If a student misses more than 2 calls quarterly, the above is required in addition to a paid 30-minute 1:1 ($50) with Eric to make up for each call missed after the 2 initial missed calls.
     

  Sacrament Services:

  • Documenting ongoing deep dive personal work with the sacrament at least twice per year.
  • Documenting deep dive sacrament services held with members (with a minimum of 1 certified cleric present, per the sacrament administration guidelines reviewed as part of minister training) at least twice per year.

  Continuing Education Requirements (to be completed annually following certification):

  1. Continuing education is required to obtain ordained minister status annually following ordination:

     1. Complete 20 hours of continuing education following ordination. 
        
        1 continuing education hour = 2 hours of real-time in-person or online participation.
        
        These could be in the form of:

        • An approved in-person or online workshops, conference, or training around spiritual wellness.
        • Volunteering as a cleric during subtle sacrament gathering days.
        • Approved books and documentaries around spiritual wellness accompanied by an expository essay.
        • Continued leadership in the community and regular attendance (monthly) to Psanctuary Zoom services.
        • Attending psychedelic or other conferences as a Psanctuary representative
        • Contributing to Psanctuary media presence.
        • Educating Psanctuary community through workshops or other platforms.

        In addition to what we are posting on the continuing education spreadsheet, we encourage everyone to suggest books, workshops, documentaries, trainings, and other ideas for approval via email!

You have the right to keep your ordination private or public. Private minister portfolios will only be visible to members of Psanctuary.

When the needs of the church community exceed the capacity of the ministry, lay persons can be ordained as extraordinary ministers. In traditional churches this permits lay persons to administer sacrament and perform other ministerial functions. Clearly our community needs surpass our current administrative abilities. Psanctuary church applies this same privilege to ministers in training to begin serving our church community as soon as possible.

Yes. Ministers will be paid for services provided per our tiered payment scale. This information will be a part of the initial 3 months of the training program. Please inquire with us if you'd like more details. 

Yes! Celebrating unity in marriage and family is an important part of our community at Psanctuary. To date, Psanctuary has officiated 3 couples in their union of marriage.
